This isn’t a review about the game but what I have received, anyone can search up on the internet what this game is about.I haven’t played the game yet, though I have gone through some of the menus. I checked the game menu and it says v1.30 for those who are wondering.Contents received:Case is bare bones, plastic. Nothing special. (Pieces from the DVD holder thing just broke.)There is piece of paper showing off another CD Projekt game called Gwent.Very small booklet (4 pages) with some info relating to the game that also has a GOG code (NOT Steam) which you can redeem at GOG’s official website. Scroll all the way down and click on ‘REDEEM CODE’. I would put the link here but Amazon decided to remove it.The installer is simple. Want to change where the game is installed? Just select ‘Options’.After installing you don’t need to install the GOG Galaxy Client, it’s optional. And you do NOT need any of the DVDs to run the game(beauty of Non-DRM)Installing is just a matter of waiting to insert the next DVD. For me it took about 90-120 minutes. I didn’t pay attention to the time but it’s around that time, and remember this depends how fast your DVD drive can write.And yes all the DVDs include the base game with ALL DLCs.

I started with the first one. Played thought it several times and was amazed at the level of the game. The second one came out and really raised the bar on the graphics. When this one came out, they had just kicked the bar completely out of the way. It is a HUGE open world extravaganza. With this game, they have set a whole new standard in Video games. You have Villages, and Towns, then there is Novagrad is a HUGE city is huge and my first foray in there, I kept getting lost. Not only do you have this HUGE territory to explore and work in, to add to that, you have the Islands of Skellige. The DLC, Hearts of Stone is very dark, although there is one side quest in there that does add some levity to break things up. This is a very large area to work in as well with a lot of things to do. In the first two games you had Dice Poker and Fist Fighting and in the second one they added Arm Wrestling. IN the third one, They left out Dice Poker, but added a card game, “GWENT”. Takes a while to learn and get the hang of, but fun. I didn’t understand it during the first playthrough, so didn’t bother playing it. They added Horse Racing as well, through various courses. Fist Fighting was still in as well. It also introduces a new character, Siri. She is sort of an adopted Daughter of Geralt. She goes missing at about the age of 12 when the Wild Hunt shows up at Kaer Morhen. That pretty much starts the whole thing. This game will keep you busy for a long time. I have played through it several time and it doesn’t get old. The graphics are over the top good. They set a whole new standard for that in this game.

Hands down the best game I’ve ever played. Not my favorite, but the best by a remarkably wide margin. Visually splendid, big improvement in the fluidity of combat over Assassins of Kings, highly character driven as always and the expansions are a delight well on par with the base game.The only piece of media from any medium I think is better done than this game is the Scorsese film Silence. That said my favorite game is The Cat Lady which is just some small indie title, so take what I say with a grain of salt. To sum up, if you want to completely ruin gaming for yourself, this is the transcendental work of art for you. You won’t look at your other games the same again.
